Requirements for MBBS Abroad

  • Academic: 50% in PCB in 12th (40% for SC/ST/OBC)
  • Age: Minimum 17 years by 31st December of the admission year
  • NEET: Must qualify NEET UG and have a valid scorecard

Entrance Exams to Study MBBS Abroad

Qualifying the NEET-UG exam is mandatory for all Indian students wanting to pursue MBBS abroad as per the Medical Council of India.

Some countries (e.g. Russia, Bangladesh, Caribbean) may not require IELTS or TOEFL for admission, but English proficiency may still be preferred.

Foreign medical universities have a good number of MBBS seats for international students. Indian medical colleges have a scarcity of MBBS seats.
Ultramodern infrastructure, technologies, and facilities are available for Indian students. Infrastructure and technologies in Indian medical colleges are advanced but not at par with abroad.
Medical education abroad is more practice-based focusing on enhancing practical skills. Indian medical colleges focus more on theoretical knowledge than practical sessions.
Students participate in international seminars, conferences, and workshops. Students do not get international exposure like abroad students.
Simulation-based training is imparted in every foreign medical university. Simulation-based training is new and not all colleges in India have it.
Multicultural environment due to students from different countries. Indian medical colleges do have international students but in limited number.
No donations required for admissions. Heavy capitation fees are required in Indian private colleges.
Admission possible with passing NEET score. Admission only with high NEET scores.
